My First Commercial

Last year a friend asked me if I wanted to be in a commercial. There was no hesitation on my part - Of course!!
It is for a car dealer in Tucson, AZ. (Precision Toyota)
We met at a dead end road, very dusty but beautiful views. My role? The frustrated wife next to an old car that just gave up!

After 5 months of shooting it just aired!! It's my first one.
Here it goes - to my love for commercials... and now I am in one! Love it!!

My life and commercials

When I was a kid we had a very small black and white television. We had only 2 channels and they transmitted shows only at noon and the evenings. The weekends were awesome, because we could watch movies in the afternoon!! yes! during siesta time =)
.... what I love the most about Argentinean TV was the commercials!!!
I remember my mom went on a business trip to Venezuela, and she bought me this fancy red tape recorder. I loved it. I taped commercials. You might ask, ... how and why?
I recorded the sounds and then when I played the tapes back I would close my eyes and remember the black and white moving pictures (that sounds so primitive).

That's how my love for commercials begun - I learned how companies captivated consumers using words, actions and graphics - but this is another subject that facinates me. Let's go back to old commercials.

For many years, I have been looking for the old commercials I fell in love with. Today I finally found one of the earliest ones I ever remember and I'll never forget!!

Ciega a Citas

I just found the perfect TV Novela for all single women!!
I relate to the main character - specially when she eats half of a lemon pie to shut up the voices of pressure. Marriage.

If you have the time, and understand Spanish =) Watch it! It's on YouTube (search: "Ciega a Citas")
The concept began as a blog, then it was taken to a book... and now it's a TV Novela produced by DoriMedia International.
